Job Description

This is a Permanent role with a Big5 clint of Careernet.

We are seeking an skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on infrastructure-as-code automation, Kubernetes engineering, DevOps tooling, and strong networking and security fundamentals across Linux and Windows environments.

Key Responsibilities

• •Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions
• •Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code automation
• •Engineer and support Kubernetes environments
• •Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• •Apply cloud networking and security best practices
• •Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues
• •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational targets
• •Mentor and support junior engineers
• •Drive process improvements and automation efficiency

Required Skills & Qualifications

• •13+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or DevOps roles
• •5+ years hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
• •2+ years experience engineering Kubernetes solutions
• •Strong experience with automation tools: Terraform, Packer, Puppet
• •Experience with Git version control
• •CI/CD experience using Jenkins or Azure DevOps
• •Strong understanding of cloud networking:
• •VPNs, SDN, load balancers, DNS, API gateways, routing
• •Solid knowledge of cloud security principles and compliance
• •Proficiency in Linux and Windows system administration
• •Understanding of GitOps principles
• •Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• •Kubernetes certifications (CKA or CKAD)
• •Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• •Scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• •Experience with GitOps tools (FluxCD, ArgoCD)
• •Experience with artifact repositories (JFrog Artifactory)
• •Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Education & Experience

• •Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• •13+ years of relevant experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering
• •Strong emphasis on infrastructure automation and public cloud

Leadership & Collaboration

• •Mentor junior engineers and assign tasks
• •Work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions
• •Apply independent judgment to solve complex problems
• •Recommend and implement process improvements
