We’re looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to own and evolve critical parts of Exiger’s platform, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, secrets and identity, observability, and automated compliance controls.
The strongest candidates are excellent problem solvers who are also genuinely great to work with. Platform engineering only creates value when engineering teams adopt and trust the platform, so this role requires both deep technical expertise and strong communication, collaboration, and influence.
What You’ll Do
Design and build reusable platform components, including Terraform modules, Helm charts, and pipeline templates, with reliable interfaces that engineering teams can adopt.
Operate production Amazon EKS and multi-account AWS environments, including networking, identity, and secrets management.
Translate FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and SOC 2 requirements into automated technical controls and continuously auditable systems.
Extend platform capabilities into AWS GovCloud to support federal workloads.
Build observability and reliability practices that make production behavior visible, measurable, and recoverable.
Partner directly with product engineering teams to identify and eliminate day-to-day development and operational friction.
Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response, and drive durable fixes that improve platform reliability.
Solve ambiguous technical problems using data, experimentation, and evidence rather than assumptions.
What You’ll Bring
Strong production experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD .
A track record of solving complex or poorly defined problems through investigation and evidence.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to engineers, security teams, and product leaders.
Experience driving adoption of platform capabilities across teams you do not directly manage.
Hands-on experience implementing cloud security and compliance controls.
Experience developing tooling and automation with Python or Go .
U.S. citizenship , required for access to Exiger’s FedRAMP federal environments where legally required.
Nice to Have
Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
FedRAMP, FISMA, IL4/IL5, or CMMC environments
AWS GovCloud
Policy-as-code
HashiCorp Vault
Multi-region disaster recovery
Internal developer platforms
Automated compliance and continuous authorization practices
