PLC Engineer

• About the Role:
• We’re looking for a hands-on PLC Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Atlanta. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in designing, optimizing, and supporting automated systems that drive the production of our high-quality zipper products.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with production equipment, and making a measurable impact on performance, reliability, and efficiency. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate across multiple North American facilities, with occasional travel to support capital projects in the Chicagoland area.

• What You’ll Do:
• •Optimize automation and processes across production lines to improve uptime, performance, and product quality
• •Partner closely with production and maintenance teams to enhance operational performance
• •Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and productivity
• •Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and control systems for extrusion and downstream equipment
• •Diagnose and resolve electrical and controls issues to minimize downtime
• •Drive and support capital projects, from concept through implementation
• •Support equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning across multiple facilities
• •Analyze production data to identify trends and implement process improvements
• •Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics and standard operating procedures

• What You Bring:
• •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• •5+ years of experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment
• •Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Codesys platforms
• •Experience with HMI and SCADA systems
• •Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and control systems
• •Knowledge of industrial components such as sensors, drives, motion control, vision systems, and industrial networks (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profibus)
• •Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings

Compensation Information:

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $110,000 annually. The pay rate for a successful candidate will depend on the geographic location, this salary range is for a successful candidate in the Atlanta metro area. The specific hiring rate within the posted range will depend on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
