Are you a qualified Psychologist with experience in mental health and learning disabilities? Pulse is recruiting for a Locum Psychologist to work across three specialist residential services supporting adults with learning disabilities, behaviours that challenge, and associated complex needs. This is a part-time opportunity (2 days per week) to join a well-established multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and contribute to person-centred care in a social care setting.
Responsibilities
As a Locum Psychologist, you will :
Provide psychological input across three (local) residential services
Deliver specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions.
Work collaboratively with the MDT to support care planning and risk management.
Contribute to service users’ wellbeing through evidence-based approaches.
Support staff teams with psychologically informed strategies and consultation.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development.

Qualifications and Experience
We welcome applications from candidates who meet the following criteria:
HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs
Strong understanding of mental health and behavioural support
Ability to work across multiple sites and collaborate with MDTs
Excellent communication and formulation skills
