Are you a Band 8b Clinical Psychologist with experience in secure settings? We’re recruiting for a temporary role supporting adult men with complex mental health conditions at a specialist site in Birmingham. This is a brilliant opportunity to work flexibly (minimum 3 days per week) in a low secure ward, delivering impactful psychological care in a well-supported environment. The role offers competitive rates and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a service focused on recovery and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for men with complex mental health needs.

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support care planning, formulation, and risk management.

Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based therapies tailored to individual needs.

Offer consultation and supervision to colleagues where appropriate.

Contribute to service development and clinical governance initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

We welcome applications from Clinical Psychologists who:

Are HCPC registered

Have experience working in secure or forensic settings, ideally with male patients

Are confident in delivering psychological interventions in complex environments

Can work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
