• About the Role
• As a Principal Engineer within the Continuous Identity product group, you will spearhead the design, build, and delivery of a groundbreaking self-service product that redefines enterprise identity security and real-time threat detection. Operating in a hands-on capacity, you will architect systems that process petabytes of telemetry at a global scale.

You will drive technical excellence within our cloud product software engineering team, partnering closely with UI and Sensor teams. Thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, you will set the technical direction, mentor top-tier engineering talent, and bring clarity to complex, ambiguous challenges. Your leadership, data-driven mindset, and ability to communicate effectively across all levels—up to senior leadership—will be critical to shaping the future of our platform.

What You'll Do:

Scale the Platform: Design, develop, and scale an identity data platform processing petabytes of continuous telemetry and behavioral data.

Drive Cross-Org Architecture: Champion a platform-centric approach, influencing architecture across team and organizational boundaries.

Own End-to-End Systems: Build and optimize query engines for identity telemetry, policy decisions, scalable distributed architectures, and high-performance data storage frameworks (such as identity graphs).

Evolve Query Capabilities: Pioneer new ways for internal stakeholders and customers to analyze complex identity relationships and extract real-time insights efficiently.

Elevate Engineering Standards: Drive code quality, champion advanced testing practices, and integrate agentic development processes and modern AI tools to supercharge team velocity and code standards.

What You'll Need:

15+ years of software engineering experience with a B.S. in a related field (or equivalent practical experience), including 3+ years of heavy coding experience in Go, Java, Scala, Kotlin, or another compiled language.

Deep production expertise with relational SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Neo4j, Postgres, Cassandra, DynamoDB) tailored for handling complex relationships and temporal data.

Proven mastery of algorithms, distributed systems design, and cloud-native application development.

Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Exceptional collaboration and leadership skills, with a track record of driving technical alignment across distributed, remote-first teams.

Bonus Points:

Specialized familiarity with Go or Kubernetes orchestration at scale.

Domain background in cybersecurity, Identity and Access Management (IAM), or advanced threat detection systems.

Experience bridging endpoint-deployed solutions with cloud-native architectures.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $195,000 - $290,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
