Principal Systems Architect – NFC Mobile Systems (m/f/d)

As a Principal Systems Architect – NFC Mobile Systems, you will define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and execution for NFC-based mobile platforms and services. You will serve as the technical authority across NFC ecosystems while influencing architectural direction and supporting customers and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Define customer specific architectures for NFC-enabled mobile devices and connected ecosystems and provide requirements for future solutions.

Drive the development of solutions for contactless mobile payment, public transport access control and digital ID, across smartphones, wearables and IoT devices.

Support technical engagements with strategic customers and ecosystem partners.

Drive customer design-in activities covering hardware, firmware, software, RF, and system integration.

Ensure compliance with NFC Forum, EMVCo, Global-Platform, and ISO/IEC standards.

Provide architectural guidance across hardware, RF, firmware, software, security, and validation teams.

Lead technical decision-making, architecture reviews, and system-level problem resolution.

Required Qualifications

• •8+ years of experience in system architecture, embedded systems, semiconductor products, wireless technologies, or mobile platforms.
• •Background in Hardware & Software architectures.
• •Good understanding of Short-range Wireless communications systems
• •Preferred experience of NFC technologies and protocols, Mobile device and wearable architectures and Secure transaction architectures.
• •Embedded software and firmware architectures.
• •Proven experience supporting strategic customer engagements and product deployments.
• •Track record delivering complex architectures from concept through production release.
• •Understanding of NFC Forum, EMVCo, GlobalPlatform, ISO/IEC 14443, ISO/IEC 18092, and ISO/IEC 15693 standards & compliance.
• •Good leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• •Structured working style with strong documentation and problem-solving approach.
• •Experience of requirements-management, Verification & Validation processes
• •Fluent English, written and verbal.
