Private Wealth Management - Margin Financing Specialist

Job Description:

1. Assist with financing limit and margin ratio applications, conduct internal risk analyses, and manage project implementation to drive overall margin business growth.

2. Actively monitor margin exposure levels across client portfolios and follow up promptly with the sales team to resolve margin deficits and collateral shortfalls.

3. Develop, maintain, and continuously upgrade internal margin financing policies and operational guidelines.

4. Negotiate directly with internal stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, and Operations) on bespoke margin loan transactions and complex financing structures.

5. Explore, design, and expand alternative equity and product financing frameworks, including Reverse SBL, repo, swaps, and other derivative financing structures.

6. Organize and prepare margin financing business materials, including client profiles, case studies, marketing pitch decks/scripts, and investor education resources

Qualification:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with direct experience in margin financing. Knowledge of stock pledge and SBL is a plus.

2. Previous experience in a First Line of Defense control, credit risk, or risk analysis role is highly preferred.

3. Has a solid understanding of Hong Kong and US stock market, including knowledge and risks of margin financing and other financing-related business.

4. Has a good understanding of margin financing client's characteristics, demand, trading strategies, and financing needs

5. Bachelor degree or above. Master degree, or interdisciplinary background in Finance, Science & Engineering is an advantage

6. Proficiency in English and Mandarin
