Education & Experience

Required:

Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Emergency Management, or related field.

0-2 years of experience in human resources, recruiting, employee administration, business administration, customer service, or a related field.

Incident Command System (ICS) Training

Required prior to hire (proof required):

IS-100.c – Introduction to Incident Command System

IS-200.b – ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents

IS-700.b – National Incident Management System (NIMS)

IS-800.c – National Response Framework

Key Responsibilities

Support employee onboarding, orientation, and ongoing HR needs.

Maintain accurate, confidential personnel records and HR documentation.

Support HR communications, reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance activities.

Assist with employee training, development, engagement, and recognition initiatives.

Support HR projects, process improvements, and departmental initiatives.

Provide administrative and operational support to the Personnel Management Department.

Maintain confidentiality and handle employee information in a professional and appropriate manner.

Perform other duties as assigned based of departmental needs.

Physical, Operational & Availability Requirements

Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more and assist with loading and unloading cargo and response equipment.

Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and operate in physically demanding environments

Ability to use multiple communication systems (cellular, radio, satellite)

Professional & Compliance Requirements

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Successful completion of required background checks and drug screenings upon hire and on a random basis during employment
