Description

As a PRN Pharmacist at Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy, you will work on an ad-hoc basis performing standard pharmacist duties in a closed-door setting. You will be responsible for providing coverage in times of high demand or when regular pharmacists are on paid leave.

Hours : PRN, between the hours of M-F 8AM - 5PM EST.

Location: Onsite in our Rocky Hill, CT facility

Duties & Responsibilities

• •Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging.
• •Reviews medication orders and evaluate their appropriateness and completeness.
• •Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the State Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
• •Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive, and team-oriented approach.
• •Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing.
• •Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
• •All other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• •Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3+ years preferred.
• •Must possess a CT State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License.
• •Order Entry experience is required.
• •Minimal typing speed of 40WPM preferred.
• •Medical Records experience preferred.
• •Experience with FrameworkLTC preferred.
• •Positive personality who can work well within a team.
• •Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• •Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• •Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.
