The 23-bed Neuro Medical Telemetry Unit cares for patients with varying neurological needs. As an RN Resident on the team, you will deliver exceptional care alongside a coach, throughout the patient care journey. This department offers a great environment in which to learn and strengthen your skills in IVs, NGTs, cardiac drips and stroke care, preparing you for a higher level of care in the ICU, CCU or ED. Here, you can take part in leader courses, earn additional certifications and climb the clinical ladder.

A PRN caregiver in this position works varying nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Provide direct nursing care.

Implement and monitor patient care plans.

Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing ( Diploma, ADN o r BSN program)

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience.

Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period, could be considered with the Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval

Will consider military RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor of S cience in N ursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• •Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• •Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• •Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• •Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• •Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• •Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• •Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
