Job Description

Teledyne Digital Imaging is a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Inc., a U.S. publicly listed enterprise, and specializes in the manufacture, design, research and development of high-performance CMOS and CCD image sensors and modular expandable cameras. Teledyne Digital Imaging's products are used worldwide in machine vision, document scanning, image capture, surveillance, process monitoring, manufacturing inspection, medical imaging, and multimedia.

As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, Teledyne Digital Imaging is recruiting for a Process Development Engineer in Waterloo.

The Process Development Engineer is responsible for supporting engineering activities related to process development, optimization, and implementation. This role involves applying engineering principles to solve problems, improve efficiency, and ensure quality in manufacturing and production processes.

What You Will Do:

The duties and responsibilities outlined below reflect the core functions of the role. However, the organization may assign additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet operational and strategic objectives. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as the scope of the role may evolve in response to changing business needs.

  • Manage large-scale process engineering projects.
  • Develop advanced models for process simulation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in process development.
  • Drive innovation in process design and execution.
  • Oversee validation and qualification of processes.
  • Interface with clients and stakeholders on technical matters.
  • Develop strategic plans for process capability growth.
  • Ensure alignment with business goals and KPIs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
  • Author technical publications and memoranda.

What You Need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant field of study such as Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
  • Ability to break down complex problems and develop innovative, data-driven solutions.
  • Adaptability and organization – Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments while maintaining structured workflows and priorities.
  • Team leadership – Guides cross-functional teams through technical challenges and project milestones.

Salary Range:

$93,700.00-$124,900.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
