Select Sires, Inc. is seeking a Processing Technician to join our production team in Plain City, Ohio. This position plays a critical role in the processing, packaging, cryopreservation, storage, and inventory management of the high-quality genetic products that livestock producers rely on every day. This position reports to the Manager, Non-EU Semen Packaging and Cryopreservation.

Work Schedule

• •Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position
• •Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• •Work schedules and responsibilities may be adjusted to support production and business needs.

What You'll Do

• •Print bull and collection information onto straws using specialized jet print systems.
• •Fill, seal, rack, freeze, and store straws according to established procedures.
• •Update inventory records using proprietary software systems.
• •Move products to designated storage locations.
• •Monitor and maintain liquid nitrogen levels in storage tanks and shipping containers.
• •Safely move and handle inventory tanks.
• •Detect and report defective materials, equipment concerns, or unusual operating conditions.
• •Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment.
• •Follow quality standards, operating procedures, and safety requirements.
• •Support departmental production goals and continuous improvement efforts.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• •Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• •Frequently bend and stoop.
• •Lift and carry materials and inventory.
• •Work safely around cryogenic materials, including liquid nitrogen.
• •Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
