Procure-to-Pay Analyst - Express Scripts

Job Description

Express Scripts is currently seeking a Procure-to-Pay Senior Analyst. The Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Senior Analyst is responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle for non-pharmaceutical materials at Evernorth and Express Scripts fulfillment sites. This role ensures timely, compliant sourcing, ordering, and payment processing for supplies critical to pharmacy and logistics operations. The analyst works independently, resolves escalated issues, and supports process improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• •Execute daily procurement activities for non-drug supplies, including creating requisitions, managing purchase orders, and reconciling invoices.
• •Collaborate with fulfillment teams, supply buyers, and operations managers to ensure accurate and timely ordering.
• •Monitor inventory levels and proactively address supply gaps to prevent disruptions.
• •Resolve issues related to order discrepancies, vendor performance, and payment delays.
• •Participate in cross-functional meetings to align procurement strategies with site operations.
• •Maintain vendor relationships and ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
• •Support audits and reporting by maintaining accurate documentation.
• •Contribute to initiatives focused on cost savings, efficiency, and quality assurance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• •High School Diploma or GED.
• •3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in healthcare or logistics.
• •Strong understanding of procure-to-pay processes and ERP systems (such as Ariba, SAP, Oracle).
• •Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• •Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• •Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• •Experience with Express Scripts or Evernorth operational workflows.
• •Familiarity with non-drug supply categories (packaging, labeling, fulfillment materials).
• •Knowledge of compliance frameworks and audit readiness in healthcare supply chains.
• •Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• •Office-based with occasional site visits to fulfillment centers.
• •Standard business hours; flexibility required for urgent procurement needs.
• •Ability to check emails and escalate issues during weekends.
