Procurement/Category Manager

Hybrid role - based 2 days per week on site in Cork, Ireland

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our Indirect Procurement organization as a Category Manager .

In this role, you will partner with internal stakeholders to manage and optimize spend across assigned indirect procurement categories, supporting the development and execution of sourcing and category strategies that deliver business value.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements, identify procurement opportunities, and deliver competitive commercial outcomes. Using spend data, market insights, procurement tools, and emerging technologies, you will help identify cost savings, improve supplier performance, and strengthen procurement practices across your assigned categories.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Partnering & Stakeholder Collaboration
• •Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, priorities, and procurement needs.
• •Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities to optimize spend, improve value, and support business objectives.
• •Provide procurement guidance and market insights to help stakeholders make informed sourcing and supplier decisions.
• •Encourage the adoption of effective procurement practices and support stakeholders through sourcing and category initiatives.
• •Work collaboratively with Finance, Legal, and other functions to ensure procurement activities are aligned with business requirements and company policies.

• Category Management & Strategic Sourcing
• •Support the development and execution of category strategies across key indirect spend areas such as IT, Marketing, Professional Services, HR, Facilities, and other corporate services .
• •Manage sourcing projects from opportunity identification and market analysis through to supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and implementation.
• •Analyze spend, supplier, and market data to identify cost savings, cost avoidance, consolidation, and other value opportunities.
• •Develop sourcing plans and category roadmaps for assigned areas of spend.
• •Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders throughout sourcing initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and on time.
• •Support the implementation and tracking of negotiated savings and other procurement benefits.

• Supplier & Commercial Management
• •Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify competitive sourcing opportunities.
• •Support supplier negotiations and commercial discussions to achieve competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• •Monitor supplier performance and work with stakeholders to address issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
• •Maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers and support ongoing supplier management activities.
• •Identify opportunities to improve supplier consolidation, service levels, commercial terms, and overall value.

Qualifications

• •Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
• •8 + years’ experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• •Strong understanding of indirect procurement categories, sourcing, supplier management, and commercial negotiations.
• •Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• •Ability to work at pace, manage multiple priorities, and translate business needs into effective procurement strategies.
• •Experience using spend analytics, dashboards, procurement technology, and AI-enabled tools to identify opportunities and improve efficiency.
• •Experience supporting supplier performance, QBRs, and supplier risk management .
• •Commercially focused, results-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally.
