Procurement Specialist

As a Procurement Specialist reporting to the Director, you'll play a critical role in managing vendor relationships and driving purchasing excellence across Nasdaq's global operations. You will support end-to-end procurement activities — from supplier selection through contract implementation — ensuring the organization receives optimal value across hardware, software, and services.

You'll thrive in this position if you're analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a strong interest in global supply chains and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• •Support supplier selection processes through thorough evaluation, documentation, and analysis.
• •Participate in vendor negotiations to secure favourable pricing, terms, and conditions.
• •Contribute to contract implementation, ensuring maximum organizational benefit and compliance.
• •Assist in the development of supply chain logistics setups aligned with targets for availability, lead time, inventory, and cost.
• •Drive procurement projects, including the development of specifications for services, equipment, and materials.

Required Qualifications

• •Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• •3–5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or vendor management.
• •Proven ability to support negotiations and manage supplier relationships in a global environment.
• •Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to process and documentation.
• •Clear communicator with experience working across cross-functional, matrixed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, PMP).
• •Experience in technology, fintech, or capital markets procurement.
• •Familiarity with procurement platforms or ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle).

This position will be located in St. John's and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
