PRODUCE MANAGER

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• •Achieves desired gross profit.
• •Achieves desired level of productivity.
• •Projects sales, product movement, labor needs.
• •Orders product according to established guidelines.
• •Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
• •Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for produce department personnel.
• •Follows established guidelines in all personnel issues, interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluation, discipline, discharge, etc.
• •Follows established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports and verify receipts.
• •Prepares weekly work schedules according to established guidelines.
• •Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
• •Using pricing/label gun, marks each item with the correct selling price.
• •Rotates merchandise according to anticipated shelf life/product expiration dates.
• •Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).
• •Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age.
• •Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• •Ensure coolers and cases maintain appropriate temperatures
• •Ability to work in temperature extremes, (produce cooler maximum low temperature, 32 degrees).
• •Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• •Maintains a neat and clean work area.
• •Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
• •Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds
• •Other Duties as assigned

• •Eyesight corrected to 20/20.
