Product Engineer

Reporting to Product Engineering Manager, the primary responsibility of this role focuses on providing product and engineering oversight of assigned silicon products and associated manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for the product quality and financial performance of assigned products, and works closely with Fab, New Product Development, Planning, Application & Reliability Engineering, and Assembly/Test to resolve any issues regarding product yield, quality, or delivery.

About the Job:

• •Implement and track projects for yield/reliability improvement and cost reduction for assigned products.
• •Work alongside manufacturing operations to ensure products are manufactured to the highest quality standards at a profitable cost.
• •Assist in the continual improvement of manufacturing processes across internal and external process engineering suppliers.
• •Serve as a key new product team member in development engineering for products destined for assigned product lines.
• •Conduct Failure Analysis (FA) and leverage testing methodologies and testing hardware to resolve product issues.
• •Perform data analysis and data mining (using Minitab, JMP, or other data mining tools) to evaluate and improve product and process performance.
• •Apply basic SPICE modeling knowledge to support product engineering design and optimization.

About You:

• •BA/BS degree in Electrical, Microelectronic, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent education/experience). Coursework in semiconductors or electronics is desirable.
• •1+ years of assigned product engineering or related engineering experience (3+ years of same-industry experience required for Bachelor’s degree applicants; working experience is optional for Master’s degree applicants).
• •High level of English and Mandarin Chinese proficiency (both written and spoken).
• •Training or coursework in Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Total Quality Management (TQM), Project Management, and Time Management.
• •Strong knowledge of Failure Analysis (FA) methodology, testing hardware, SPICE modeling basics, and data analysis tools (Minitab, JMP).
