Job Description Summary

Position Objective

The Product Line Manager is responsible for aiding in the design and execution of a comprehensive lifecycle plan, including market strategy, supplier selection, product support, and lifecycle returns for assigned capital equipment categories. The position includes development of appropriate strategies for the negotiation and administration of national contracts for market position, products, and full lifecycle support.

Position Responsibilities

• •Serves as an active team member in the development and implementation of fleet strategies and initiatives that effectively address the need to reduce the total cost of equipment ownership.
• •Assists in the identification, evaluation, engagement/negotiation process, and ongoing management of key supply partners.
• •Performs industry benchmarking and total cost of ownership analysis to identify continuous cost and fleet improvements.
• •Assists in developing a fleet plan, including purchases and disposals, with the intention of maximizing lifecycle returns from the rental fleet.
• •Reduces costs, improves efficiencies, and secures favorable commercial terms while cultivating long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with Sunbelt's Preferred Suppliers.
• •Develops training, maintenance, and analysis to support the product line.
• •Presents material in an effective, concise oral and written format to Sunbelt executives related to findings, opportunities, and progress on projects that directly impact the company's P&L.
• •Establishes relationships within Sunbelt to become an integral member of various cross-functional teams, including Operations, Sales, Procurement, Marketing, and other business functions.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• •Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field of study, or equivalent work experience.
• •1-3 years of product lifecycle management experience.
• •Familiarity with the construction capital equipment marketplace from either an equipment fleet management or manufacturer perspective.
• •Strategic understanding of the total supply chain, including capital equipment and lifecycle management.
• •Demonstrated leadership in internal and external functions, with proven results in reducing total cost of ownership and improving process efficiency.
• •Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization.
• •Ability to manage and analyze existing contracts and identify spend reduction, spend leveraging, and other opportunities to maximize equipment utility.
• •Ability to articulate and frame issues in a clear and concise manner.
• •Demonstrated ability to drive positive change and deliver results in a complex organization.
• •Strong analytical capabilities necessary to assess both short-term and long-term business requirements and needs.
• •Project management experience preferred.
• •MBA preferred.

Physical Demands

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt positions may require driving for extended periods, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind, excessive temperatures, and/or working nights and weekends.

Base Pay Range: $98,573.00 - 135,537.60
