Make an Impact Through Strategy, Innovation, and Leadership

Lead the strategy behind products that drive business growth and market leadership. As Director of Product Management/Marketing, you will translate vision into action by shaping portfolio strategy, guiding commercialization efforts, and leading talented product management and marketing teams. Working cross-functionally with executive leadership and key business partners, you will influence critical business decisions, create exceptional customer value, and help define the future direction of a growing organization.

The Director of Product Management/Marketing is responsible for translating divisional strategy into executable product and marketing initiatives that drive business growth and market leadership. The role leads multiple product management and marketing teams, builds a high-performing organization, defines strategic focus areas, and ensures effective execution against divisional revenue, profitability, and market share objectives. Through strong cross-functional leadership, the Director aligns portfolio strategy, commercialization activities, and organizational capabilities to achieve long-term business success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Translate divisional and corporate strategic objectives into clear, actionable product and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and communicate long-term product portfolio plans aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to refine strategies.
  • Establish market segmentation, targeting, positioning, and value proposition strategies.
  • Ensure product launches are aligned with business priorities and customer needs.
  • Lead and develop multiple product management and/or product marketing teams.
  • Define organizational structures, roles, responsibilities, and governance processes that enable efficient execution.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish scalable processes, performance metrics, and best practices for product management teams.
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness through prioritization, resource optimization, and process improvement.
  • Partner closely with R&D, Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in product management, product marketing, strategic marketing, or related commercial leadership roles in the Cell Analysis field.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including management of managers and multiple functional teams.
  • Direct Cell Analysis industry experience. Experience limited to adjacent life science markets without significant Cell Analysis responsibility will not be considered.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product portfolio and marketing strategies that deliver measurable business growth.
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and developing high-performing teams and future leaders.
  • Experience driving organizational transformation, process optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and lead through ambiguity in a dynamic business environment.
  • Experience in global or regional leadership roles within a matrix organization preferred.
  • Strong experience working cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $171,600.00 - $286,894.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
