About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic runs on a home-grown internal employee collaboration platform, that Ants use every day to plan, coordinate, and get work done alongside Claude. Today it is a widely used tool. We want it to become the centerpiece of how Anthropic works: the surface where people, teams, and Claude agents collaborate, and a living demonstration of what an AI-native company looks like from the inside.
You will be the first dedicated Product Manager for this platform, paired with a dedicated engineering team. You will own the product end to end: the vision for where it goes, the roadmap that gets it there, and the outcomes that prove it worked. The scope is company-wide, every employee is your customer, and the platform's success is a company-level goal, not a team-level one.
"And more" is deliberate. As the platform matures, we expect it to inform how Anthropic shows enterprise customers what internal Claude adoption can look like, and potentially to shape external products. You will help decide where that line sits.
What you'll do
Set direction and drive a company-wide outcome
Define the product vision and a 3-6 month strategy for making the platform the default home for cross-functional collaboration at Anthropic, and get alignment from leadership across Security/IT, Engineering, Research, and G&A.
Own adoption, engagement, and satisfaction outcomes at the company level. Set the metrics, instrument them, and be accountable for moving them with clear attribution.
Prioritize ruthlessly against a demand signal that will always exceed capacity; say no well and explain why.
Ship, fast and with craft
Lead a dedicated engineering team from discovery through launch. Write the specs, make the calls, and keep velocity high without drama or burnout.
Set and hold the quality bar. The platform should feel like a product Anthropic would be proud to ship externally, not an internal tool people tolerate.
Drive multiple workstreams in parallel core collaboration primitives, Claude-agent integration, integrations with the rest of the internal stack (Slack, Google Workspace, Claude Support, and others).
Build AGI-first
Design for where models will be in 3,6,12 months, not where they are today. Assume Claude is a participant in collaboration, not a feature bolted onto it.
Partner closely with Research, Labs, and product teams on the Claude side so internal and external product thinking reinforce each other.
Own the safety, privacy, and data-handling tradeoffs inherent in a platform that touches company-wide information. Make the hard calls; don't defer them upward.
Stay close to the customer
Build a systematic understanding of how different Ants and teams actually work: engineers, researchers, GTM, G&A, leadership. Let that voice shape strategy, not just individual features.
Run regular discovery, dogfooding, and feedback loops; nothing about a launch should surprise you afterward.
Elevate the org
Establish PM craft inside Business Technology, a group that has strong engineers and operators but has not had product management before you. Create the artifacts, rituals, and standards others reuse.
Uplevel cross-functional partners: help engineering, IT, and business stakeholders think in outcomes and customer problems.
Contribute to PM hiring and help attract talent to Anthropic.
What we're looking for
We hire on demonstrated impact — what you have shipped and moved — not on scope owned, team size, or tenure.
Impact
A track record of outcomes that affected a company-wide goal, with clear attribution to you, ideally on a platform, productivity, or collaboration product with a large user base (internal or external).
You create clarity in chaos: you are the person people go to when no one knows what to do, and you relentlessly find the right answer rather than the assigned one.
Velocity is a signature. You have driven a company-wide initiative to completion, and you can juggle several at once one goal that took all your capacity is not enough at this level.
High craft is evident in what you ship; quality issues don't keep surfacing after launch.
Judgment
You build for frontier AI. You have shipped products that leverage new model capabilities and you design for where capabilities are going, not just where they are.
Others learn to build AGI-first by watching you. You are trusted to navigate difficult safety, privacy, and data tradeoffs, and you have slowed down or changed course for safety reasons before.
Deep, systematic customer understanding. Customer voice shapes your strategy, and you are trusted on user tradeoffs.
Leadership
You improve PM craft as a whole, not just your own output, and you uplevel the cross-functional people around you.
People inside and outside product credit growth to you. Knowledge you create becomes org capability rather than staying in your head.
You operate on behalf of the company, not your team.
Strong signals for this role specifically
Experience building or scaling collaboration, workflow, or productivity platforms (e.g., internal tools at scale, workplace/collaboration SaaS, developer or knowledge platforms).
Comfort operating inside an IT/Security org and partnering with engineering-heavy stakeholders.
Product background that spans consumer-grade polish and enterprise-grade constraints (identity, permissions, data classification, auditability).
Hands-on with Claude or other frontier models in building products, not just using them.
Why this role
Genuine whitespace. First PM on the platform, first PM in Business Technology, dedicated engineering team, executive attention.
A customer you can reach. Every user is a colleague. Discovery is a Slack message away, and feedback loops are measured in hours.
Frontier leverage. You get to build a collaboration product where Claude is a first-class participant, at the company building Claude.
Impact beyond the walls. What you build becomes part of how Anthropic tells the story of an AI-native company to enterprise customers.
