Job Description:

This job is responsible for maximizing the value for one or more products. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with product owners or specialists to ensure they are aligning on priorities. Job expectations include ensuring delivery of products that meet client expectations, including features, security, availability, resiliency, timelines and costs.

Overview:

This leadership role is responsible for driving product strategy, portfolio management, and delivery execution across key Merchant Services Technology capabilities. The position oversees a portfolio of products and strategic initiatives while leading a team of Product Owners and Project/Program Managers responsible for delivering business and technology outcomes.

The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner to business, operations, technology, risk, and compliance stakeholders, ensuring investments are aligned with client needs, regulatory requirements, and enterprise objectives. The role requires a balance of product leadership, portfolio governance, financial management, and people leadership to deliver innovative payment solutions and drive operational excellence.

This position is expected to establish clear product visions and roadmaps, provide portfolio oversight, manage investment priorities, oversee program execution, and develop high-performing teams. The ideal candidate possesses strong Merchant Services and Payments domain knowledge, demonstrated experience leading technology transformation initiatives, and a proven ability to influence strategy and execution across complex organizations.

Responsibilities:

• •Generates the vision and roadmap for the program based on customer requirements, industry trends, regulations, and the strategic direction for the business or technology domain
• •Communicates the program vision and roadmap to stakeholders, product owners and the teams
• •Oversees the budget(s) for one or more products by working closely with finance partners on both personnel and non-personnel expenses
• •Provides input into defining business capabilities and aligning them to products or creating new products to support them
• •Ensures product availability by partnering closely with demand and capacity teammates
• •Develops business cases for new products and additional features for existing products
• •Partners with the product owners and the teams to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and subject-matter expertise and understanding of the business and industry trends
• •Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps aligned with Merchant Services business objectives and technology priorities
• •Lead a portfolio of merchant services products and initiatives, balancing investment priorities, capacity, risk, and business value
• •Manage and prioritize product backlogs, features, and epics to maximize customer and business outcomes
• •Partner with business, technology, operations, risk, and compliance stakeholders to define product vision and deliver strategic capabilities
• •Provide portfolio-level governance, reporting, financial oversight, and executive communications for assigned products and programs
• •Oversee program planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and execution across multiple workstreams and delivery teams
• •Lead and develop a team of Product Owners, Product Analysts, and Project/Program Managers through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
• •Drive workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and organizational capability growth within the product management organization
• •Establish and monitor key performance indicators, product health metrics, delivery outcomes, and value realization measures
• •Promote continuous improvement, Agile best practices, innovation, and operational excellence across the portfolio

Required Qualifications:

• •10+ years of experience in Product Management, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Technology Delivery, or related disciplines
• •3+ years of direct people leadership experience managing Product Owners, Product Managers, Program Managers, Project Managers, or related technology professionals
• •Experience leading product portfolios and strategic technology initiatives in a complex enterprise environment
• •Demonstrated success managing multiple products, programs, and cross-functional delivery teams simultaneously
• •Strong understanding of product management principles, portfolio management practices, Agile methodologies, and software delivery lifecycles
• •Experience establishing governance structures, executive reporting, roadmaps, KPIs, and performance metrics
• •Experience managing budgets, funding allocation, financial planning, forecasting, and business case development
• •Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior executives and business leaders
• •Ability to lead organizational change, drive strategic alignment, and resolve competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
• •Exceptional communication, leadership, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills
