Product Manager - Workday Extend

The Workday Extend team builds custom applications and Marketplace products on Workday's Extend platform for enterprise clients. This Product Manager will own the full product lifecycle for Extend solutions — from discovery and scoping through delivery, iteration, and go-to-market. You will be the connective tissue between our clients, our technical architects, and the Workday partner ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• •Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Workday Extend applications (vision, roadmap, requirements, delivery, iteration)
• •Lead Extend workstreams across client engagements — manage scope, timelines, and stakeholder alignment
• •Drive Marketplace product strategy — identify reusable patterns across client work, package them as productized Bring-on-Workday offerings, and own go-to-market planning
• •Partner with Extend Architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions on the Extend platform
• •Own tenant architecture decisions in partnership with technical leads
• •Manage cross-functional delivery across HCM, Financials, Payroll, and Integration workstreams
• •Conduct discovery sessions, gather requirements, and define acceptance criteria
• •Build and maintain product backlogs, prioritize features based on client impact and reuse potential
• •Support pre-sales efforts — contribute to estimations, proposals, and solution demos
• •Champion adoption of AI and agentic workflow capabilities within Extend solutions
• •Evangelize Huron's Extend capabilities internally and with the Workday partner community

Required Qualifications

• •5+ years of product management experience in enterprise SaaS or consulting
• •3+ years working within the Workday ecosystem
• •Workday Pro certification (active) in at least one domain
• •Deep understanding of the Workday Extend platform (custom business objects, pages, orchestrations)
• •Experience with Workday integrations (Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs)
• •Cross-module breadth spanning at least two of: HCM, Financials, Payroll, Supply Chain
• •Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
• •Ability to translate technical complexity into clear business outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience publishing or managing apps on the Workday Marketplace
• •Familiarity with Workday AI / Illuminate capabilities and agentic workflow design
• •Exposure to Workday Data Cloud and Prism Analytics
• •Experience building go-to-market strategies for packaged SaaS products
• •Workday Pro certification in Extend or Integrations

AI & Emerging Technology Literacy

Expected within the first year in role:

• •Working understanding of Workday's AI agent framework (Developer Agent, Agent-Ready Tools, Agent Actions)
• •Ability to evaluate where agentic automation fits within Extend solution design
• •Awareness of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and its role in developer tooling
• •Familiarity with Workday Data Cloud / LDQ concepts and their impact on product architecture

The estimated base salary range for this job is $145,000 - $170,0000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $174,000 - $204,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future
