Job Description

The Regional Digital Loans platform team is a high performing unit, playing a vital role in supporting the SMEs by delivering innovative solutions to help business owners realise their ambitions. With the changing landscape in SME behaviour, reinforced by technological advances, banking has also transformed.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join the Emerging Business Regional Digital Loans platform team to support the development and transformation of our revolutionary Regional Loan Lifecycle Management system (“LLMS”) regionally.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing product features and enhancements aligned to the LLMS vision and roadmap. You will work closely with stakeholders across business and IT to deliver scalable, user-centric capabilities across the loan lifecycle.

Job Scope:

• •Define and articulate product features aligned to LLMS vision and business objectives
• •Lead regional requirements gathering and act as design authority across markets, understanding local business, credit, operational and regulatory requirements
• •Drive horizontal journey thinking, working with stakeholders to simplify upfront processes and policies before system builds are considered
• •Identify and evaluate opportunities to apply AI across the loan origination journey, working with business, data and IT teams to shape, deploy and scale use cases that improve efficiency, decisioning and customer experience
• •Translate business needs into scalable journeys and capabilities, with clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• •Own regional capabilities and platform backlog across markets, including localisation requirements, applying value-led prioritisation aligned to delivery timelines and business priorities
• •Partner with IT on scope, cost and delivery sequence, assessing effort, timeline, architecture implications, maintenance impact and strategic value
• •Work with UX/UI designers to design intuitive, user-centric journeys
• •Partner with IT and QA teams to ensure requirements are well understood and testable
• •Drive regional CX sprints and support UAT by guiding testers on acceptance criteria and monitoring regional test progress
• •Ensure timely delivery of features meeting business needs and quality standards
• •Work with compliance and risk teams to ensure regulatory adherence, including the responsible use of AI
• •Support rollout, training and adoption of new capabilities, and monitor post-release adoption and user feedback

Requirements

• •Tertiary education with minimum 7 years of relevant experience
• •Experience in product management, project delivery, or digital loan platforms ownership/management preferred
• •Experience in B2B lending journey, regional or multi-country programme management is an advantage
• •Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence
• •Understanding of AI and its applications in lending, with the ability to translate AI capabilities into practical business use cases
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to assess feasibility and impact
• •Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to align cross-country stakeholders
• •Self-driven, structured, and results-oriented
