Figma’s Business Development & Partnerships team accelerates our company goals by working with partners to enhance product experiences, expand our ecosystem, and drive user and revenue growth. As Figma’s product portfolio and user base continue to evolve, the team plays a critical role in connecting our platform to a broader network of builders, developers, and solution partners.
As Figma expands how AI is embedded across products like Figma Make and Agent, partnerships with leading and emerging AI providers are becoming increasingly important to our product strategy. We’re looking for an AI Product Partner Manager to identify, develop, and manage relationships with AI model and technology providers, translate product priorities into partnership opportunities, and bring integrations and go-to-market programs to life. In this role, you’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, AI Research, Marketing, Communications, Legal, Strategic Finance, and executive stakeholders to deliver meaningful impact for Figma, our partners, and our users. If you’re excited about working at the intersection of AI, product, and partnerships, and you enjoy bringing clarity and momentum to complex opportunities, this may be the role for you!
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
Develop and own partnership strategies for emerging AI model providers and other strategic technology partners, monitoring the evolving AI landscape and evaluating where new models, technologies, or capabilities could advance Figma’s product and company priorities.
Work closely with Product, Engineering, and AI Research to understand roadmap priorities, coordinate access to promising technologies, support technical and product evaluations, and translate findings into partnership recommendations.
Evaluate inbound opportunities from AI providers, existing partners, and strategic customers, developing clear recommendations and briefs for product leaders and executive stakeholders.
Lead new partnership opportunities with existing and prospective partners, including integrations, product collaborations, and go-to-market programs in partnership with Marketing, Communications, and Sales Enablement.
Align internal stakeholders around partnership structures and terms, lead negotiations, and execute agreements in collaboration with Legal, Strategic Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
Manage the day-to-day health of partner relationships and multiple concurrent workstreams, defining success metrics, measuring impact, and proactively addressing risks and open questions.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and partner technical teams to scope integrations and extensibility opportunities involving APIs, MCP, and other technical platforms.
Prepare and facilitate executive briefings, strategic partner meetings, and internal updates while helping strengthen the operating foundation for Figma’s growing AI partner program.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
5+ years of experience in product or technology partnerships, business development, ecosystem management, or strategic partner management, with a track record of driving multifaceted partnerships from strategy through execution. Experience working in AI or strong familiarity with the AI model landscape preferred.
A history of leading end-to-end deals, including developing the business case, aligning stakeholders, negotiating terms, and executing agreements while balancing the needs of Figma, our partners, and our users.
Experience working with Product, Engineering, Research, Marketing, Operations, Legal, Finance, and other internal teams around technical concepts including APIs, MCP, extensibility platforms, and AI model integrations.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills, along with the strategic judgment, curiosity, and initiative allowing you to thrive in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment.
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Direct experience managing partnerships with AI model providers, frontier AI companies, or open-weight model ecosystems.
Experience coordinating early access programs or product and technical evaluations with AI providers.
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
