Product Technician

Description

Arctic Cat is hiring a full-time Product Technician at our Thief River Falls location. In this role, you will build and assemble prototype parts and components, maintain accurate documentation of assignments and test results, and work from layouts, engineering drawings, and sketches to support product development. You will be responsible for ensuring prototype vehicles and components remain in proper operating condition while performing standardized testing, field development, and evaluation activities on snowmobiles and off-road powersports equipment. This position is ideal for a hands-on individual with strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for helping develop innovative powersports products.

Requirements

• •Assemble products according to design.
• •Maintain development models in a clean, operable condition. Service and repair to assure readiness for testing and field evaluation.
• •Assure completeness and accuracy of all fabrications and assembly jobs.
• •Efficiently and timely complete all assignments according to development schedules, cost objectives and management’s directions.
• •Develop and maintain accurate records of all development work and field evaluation for as long as needed.
• •Provide timely and concise design detail and construction information to Product Design Team.
• •Assure confidentiality and security of sensitive designs, costing, test data, prototype models and product plans.
• •Continually review designs for cost effectiveness material strengths, manufacturing efficiency and maximum quality.
• •Identify new product and/or features that improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and keeps product line at the forefront of the industry.
• •Continually improve product development process for quickest market entry with improved quality, competitive features and least cost.
• •Participate in and encourage the highest level of quality, efficiency and professionalism from co-workers.
• •Communicate effectively with co-workers and encourage their efforts. Promote personal and group interaction with the product, the dealer and customer to stay close to the product.

Education: high school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or mechanical/electrical degree preferred.

• •Proficient in interpreting blueprints.
• •Self-motivated, enthusiastic and punctual.
• •Knowledge of ATV’s, ROV’s, XTV's or snowmobiles.
• •Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• •Able to travel for testing up to 2 weeks at a time.
• •Possess riding and evaluation skills for ATV’s, ROV’s, or Snowmobiles.
