Production Operator

POSITION TITLE: Production Team Member

LOCATION: Florence, Alabama

STARTING PAY: $15.47/hr (+ incentives)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Tarkett is seeking a new Production Team Member to join their manufacturing team in Florence, Alabama. Promoting a safety culture and utilizing WCM tools and methodology , in this position you will work with others to deliver a quality product on time to Tarkett’s customers.

ESSESNTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate equipment and machines that support production

Maintain and support 5S initiatives throughout the facility

Drive a safety culture by adhering to all safety rules, supporting safety initiatives, and communicating opportunities for improvement through near misses, and Kaizen

Maintain cleanliness of operations, equipment and facility

Operate forklift

Correctly move and label material/product throughout the process

Ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer by inspecting product throughout the process

Package and label material/product accurately

Perform repetitive tasks

Notify supervisor of defective material, equipment, or tools that hinder the process

Participate in projects and work with others to provide solutions to opportunities and drive improvement and efficient

REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)

Understand the importance of working safely

Pass a fit-to-work physical, drug screen, and background check

Able to stand for long periods of time

Able to work in a non- temperature controlled environment

Have a high school diploma or GED

Able to work a flexible work schedule

Have a strong attention to detail

Adaptable and supportive of positive change

Enjoy working collaboratively with others

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently

Must be able to make repetitive motions involving twisting and turning.
