Production Worker

Description

Clovernook Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired is seeking a Production Worker to support production operations through a variety of hands-on tasks, including creasing, packing, collating, machine operation, use of basic production tools, and other duties needed to prepare, process, and package products. Clovernook’s mission is to empower people who are blind or visually impaired to lead active, productive, and independent lives, and this position plays an important role in supporting that mission through accurate, safe, and efficient production work.

Key Responsibilities

• •Reflect Clovernook’s mission, vision, and core values in daily interactions with consumers, staff, and internal and external constituencies.
• •Perform production tasks including creasing, packing, collating, machine operation, use of basic production tools, and other assigned production work.
• •Complete production quantity reports accurately.
• •Maintain productivity levels as defined by the supervisor.
• •Assist with training new employees as needed.
• •Keep immediate work area clean and free of debris.
• •Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.
• •Maintain positive relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
• •Work overtime as required to meet production demands and deadlines.
• •Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• •Dexterity, mobility, endurance, and hand-body coordination skills needed to complete assigned tasks and meet production requirements.
• •Ability to lift up to 50 pounds preferred.
• •Mechanical ability and machine experience in a production environment preferred.
• •Forklift operator experience preferred.
• •Ability to work accurately, safely, and efficiently in a production setting.
• •Quality-minded with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• •Positive attitude and ability to work well with supervisors and team members.
• •Post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
