Summary

You will serve as a PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR of US NAVAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE. Salary for the GS-12: $102,415 to $133,142 Salary for the GS-13: $121,785 to $158,322

Duties

• •You will prepare and deliver online lectures.
• •You will develop and plan Naval studies courses and course syllabi.
• •You will advise students in academic program decisions.
• •You will conduct independent research and write for publication.

Qualifications

For the GS-13: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing and recording online lectures and managing asynchronous online instruction; 2) Developing/revising course syllabi, assessments and course reviews; 3) Utilizing educational methods appropriate for introductory collegiate instruction; 4) Planning, developing, and teaching courses in national security affairs. For the GS-12: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Delivering online lectures and managing asynchronous online instruction; 2) Advising students in academic program decisions; 3) Assisting an instructional design team in updating course modules based on assessment and evaluation data, ensuring all materials are up to date; 4) Advising students on topics for individual or group research, research methods, or preparation of papers. Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position. or Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study.
