Program Analyst 3 - Policy Writer

Description

Centex Technologies is hiring a Program Analyst 3 - Policy Writer to develop, revise, govern, and coordinate clear policies, procedures, plans, and program documentation for internal and customer use. This opportunity is well suited to an experienced professional who enjoys owning difficult work, creating clarity, and collaborating across technical, program, and customer teams.

What You'll Do

• •Research laws, regulations, contract requirements, standards, and current practices relevant to assigned policies.
• •Draft and revise policies, procedures, governance documents, implementation guidance, and decision materials.
• •Interview subject-matter experts and stakeholders to validate operational reality, risks, dependencies, and ownership.
• •Reconcile conflicting comments, maintain decision logs, and facilitate review through approval.
• •Apply templates, plain-language principles, accessibility, version control, metadata, and records-management requirements.
• •Maintain policy inventories, review schedules, cross-references, change summaries, and authoritative repositories.

Work Arrangement

This is a remote U.S. position. Occasional travel or work outside normal hours may be required based on customer and program needs.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• •Bachelor's degree in public policy, business, communications, English, technical writing, or a related field, or equivalent directly relevant experience.
• •Four or more years of policy, procedure, technical, regulatory, program, or governance writing experience.
• •Demonstrated ability to research requirements, interview subject-matter experts, reconcile comments, and produce clear controlled documents.
• •Strong editing, organization, plain-language, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred

• •Experience supporting federal, defense, government contracting, cybersecurity, quality, or regulated programs.
• •Familiarity with NIST, DoD, ISO, CMMI, records-management, or policy-governance frameworks.
• •Experience building policy libraries, approval workflows, or implementation plans.
