Project Coordinator
As Project Coordinator at NAFC, under the direction of the Program Manager, you will facilitate the effective management of our national program as per NAFC standards. Every day, you will help with planning and organizing the activities and implementation of this program and carrying out significant operational duties. JOB DESCRIPTION
Project Coordinator
Job Overview
As an integral member of the NAFC’s programs team, under the direction of the Program Manager, the project coordinator will play a crucial role in designing, implementing and managing programs that foster growth and enhancements within Indigenous communities. This position involves working closely with community members, stakeholders, and partners to identify needs, develop strategies, and ensure successful program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Implement programs tailored to the needs of Indigenous groups and their communities.
Monitor and evaluate program activities to measure impact and effectiveness.
Conduct needs assessments to identify opportunities and challenges within the community.
Collaborate with other organizations, and institutions to leverage resources and expertise.
Plan, organize, and support national events for the NAFC, with a focus on youth initiatives and youth leadership development.
Maintain comprehensive records of program activities, participant engagement, and outcomes.
Develop and disseminate communication materials to promote program initiatives and successes.
Ensure compliance with all funding and reporting requirements.
Prepare regular reports on program progress, including financial reports and impact assessments.
Facilitate national workshops, training sessions, and community meetings to gather input and provide information about programs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure program objectives are met.

Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Indigenous Studies or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in a non-profit or Indigenous organization.
Experience working with Indigenous serving organizations
Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, values, and socio-economic issues.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in report writing and fundraising is an asset.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheet.
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
Being able to work in French or Indigenous languages is an asset.
