Program Manager

Description

Matrix Plastic Products is seeking a Program Manager (or Project Engineer) who will serve as the primary liaison between project-specific customers and Matrix Plastic Products' operations, manufacturing, quality, engineering, purchasing, and sales functions. The role will lead and coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer and company requirements. The Program Manager will represent the company as the main point of contact for assigned customers, coordinate project timelines and deliverables, support quoting and commercial changes, help manage project-specific supply chain activities, and work with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned, project-specific customers and coordinate communication between customers and internal departments.
• •Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams involving customers, engineering, operations, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and sales.
• •Develop, maintain, and communicate project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and budgets to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
• •Coordinate project activities and follow up with stakeholders to ensure commitments, action items, and deliverables are completed on schedule.
• •Help maintain production schedules and coordinate priorities to support on-time delivery and customer requirements.
• •Work with operations, production, and supply chain personnel to help manage project-specific material availability, purchasing needs, vendor activities, and supply chain risks.
• •Work with the Quality and Production Departments to troubleshoot molding issues, coordinate corrective actions, and communicate status and resolution plans to customers in a timely manner.
• •Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, department managers, and internal project stakeholders regarding project status, issues, risks, changes, and required actions.
• •Assist with quoting activities and support the communication and implementation of part price changes and other project-related commercial changes as needed.
• •Manage job costing and project tracking, including change orders, bill of materials (BOM), and other project cost or scope changes.
• •Monitor project requirements and ensure compliance with customer requirements and company policies and procedures.
• •Conduct project risk assessments, identify potential schedule, quality, cost, supply chain, and production risks, and develop mitigation plans.
• •Provide regular project updates, including schedule, cost, quality, production, delivery, risks, and open action items, to management and other stakeholders.
• •Maintain accurate project documentation, records, timelines, customer communications, and status information.
• •Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project performance, operational efficiency, communication, and customer satisfaction.
• •Support resolution of project issues by coordinating appropriate resources, establishing priorities, and ensuring timely follow-through.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• •3-5 years of experience in program management, project engineering, project management, customer program management, or a related role, within a manufacturing environment.
• •Experience coordinating multiple projects, priorities, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• •Strong project organization, follow-up, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• •Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, production personnel, engineers, quality personnel, and management.
• •Ability to understand project requirements, identify risks, coordinate corrective actions, and drive activities to completion.
• •Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to maintain project schedules, cost tracking, and project documentation.
• •Ability to understand manufacturing processes, production schedules, quality requirements, material requirements, and customer delivery expectations.
• •Strong attention to detail, reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
• •Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining priorities and meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• •Experience in plastic injection molding or a related manufacturing environment.
• •Experience working directly with customers in a program management, project management, account management, or customer service capacity.
• •Experience with quoting, cost tracking, change orders, BOMs, and project financial management.
• •Experience working with ERP systems and production scheduling tools.
• •Experience with quality systems, corrective actions, root-cause problem solving, and manufacturing process troubleshooting.
• •Experience coordinating supply chain activities, including purchasing, vendors, material availability, and delivery requirements.
• •Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• •Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with limited direction while keeping stakeholders informed.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:

• •Safety: Must be aware of and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• •Facility Mobility: Ability to move throughout the manufacturing facility to effectively support production, quality, and project activities.
• •Manufacturing Environment: Work is performed in an office and manufacturing environment and may include regular exposure to injection molding equipment, moving mechanical parts, production areas, and typical manufacturing hazards.
• •Communication & Collaboration: Must be able to accurately exchange project, customer, production, quality, and technical information with employees at all levels of the organization and with external customers and vendors.
• •Computer Use: Requires regular use of computers and standard office software for project tracking, communication, documentation, scheduling, and reporting.
• •Work Demands: Ability to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines, attend project and production meetings, and support customer and operational needs as required.

Pay : $90,000 - $120,000 depending on experience.
