Amazon's Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team ensures that our global fulfillment and operations networks run safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. A Program Manager in Central RME will drive initiatives that optimize operational capacity, enhance network performance, and deliver measurable improvements. This role focuses on program execution, addressing operational barriers, implementing standard work practices, and collaborating with RME, non-RME stakeholders, and Operations teams.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • - Drive cross-functional programs, projects, and initiatives impacting operations; develop solutions collaboratively with RME, non-RME, and Ops stakeholders.
  • - Partner with RME, non-RME, and Ops stakeholders to conduct root cause analysis, eliminate operational barriers, and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across the network.
  • - Maintain and update capacity models including data inputs, methodology documentation, and output validation to support capacity utilization goals.
  • - Use analytics for data-driven decision-making; monitor performance and escalate issues requiring corrective actions.
  • - Create and maintain program artifacts including business requirement documents, initiative plans, and status reports.
  • - Implement standard work practices that improve key business metrics and translate lessons into standards across assigned sites or programs.
  • - Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and management; inform decision-making through clear narratives and data-backed recommendations.
  • - Remove operational barriers through hands-on problem-solving to deliver immediate results.
  • - As a Program Manager, contribute to a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Basic qualifications

  • - 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred qualifications

  • - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • - 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
