Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering strategic projects across the AEM region within agreed scope, timeline, cost, quality, and risk parameters. This role applies disciplined project management practices to support growth initiatives, including go-to-market product launches, business transformation, business reengineering, and M&A integrations.Working across multiple functions, geographies, and teams, the Project Manager will lead project planning, governance, financial and risk management, stakeholder engagement, and change control. The role will partner closely with Product Management, Technology, Segment leadership, Product Marketing, Finance, and other stakeholders to execute regional product roadmaps and business priorities.The successful candidate will be an adaptable, collaborative leader who can manage competing priorities, resolve conflicts, communicate effectively with a broad range of audiences, and promote agile ways of working, innovation, simplification, and appropriate use of AI within project delivery frameworks.Key propositions supported may include CoCounsel, Westlaw, OneSource, and Checkpoint .

Key Responsibilities

• •Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects across AEM portfolios, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, budget, schedule, quality, and resource constraints.
• •Define, document, maintain, and execute project plans, milestones, dependencies, governance routines, and operating rhythms.
• •Participate actively in all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, implementation, and closure.
• •Adapt project management methodologies and approaches to meet the needs of a wide range of initiatives, including product launches, business transformation, technology, and reengineering projects.
• •Manage project change control processes and secure stakeholder agreement for changes to scope, timelines, budget, or deliverables.
• •Monitor project progress, costs, timescales, resources, and deliverables; take timely corrective action when performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
• •Develop estimates for project costs, timelines, resource requirements, and delivery plans.
• •Manage project financials and ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.
• •Identify, assess, document, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
• •Escalate significant risks related to timeline, budget, scope, or delivery to project sponsors and the PMO as appropriate.
• •Support Segment leads and Finance in the development of business cases for investments that enable new or enhanced propositions and regional growth.
• •Build collaborative, trusted relationships with project sponsors, senior stakeholders, project team members, and cross-functional partners.
• •Work closely with Product Management, Technology, Segment teams, Product Marketing, Finance, and other functions to deliver product roadmaps and strategic initiatives.
• •Lead cross-functional project teams, creating clarity of purpose, accountability, and commitment to agreed outcomes.
• •Proactively manage project team conflicts and facilitate constructive, win-win resolutions.
• •Motivate and support project team members, helping develop their project delivery skills and experience.
• •Escalate unresolved issues, conflicts, or resource constraints through appropriate sponsorship and governance channels.
• •Develop and implement effective project communication plans tailored to a diverse range of stakeholder audiences.
• •Provide regular, accurate, and timely project reporting on status, milestones, risks, financials, decisions, and required actions.
• •Clearly communicate project objectives, priorities, trade-offs, and outcomes to stakeholders across regional and global teams.
• •Foster an inclusive, values-led culture that promotes strong collaboration across countries, regions, functions, and working styles.
• •Support AEM growth priorities through strong project management execution for acquisitions, new product launches, product localization, and business transformation initiatives.
• •Ensure project decisions and prioritization remain focused on customer and market value while balancing delivery commitments.
• •Support the regional introduction and localization of global value propositions and products.
• •Champion innovation, simplification, agile mindsets, and the effective use of AI within project delivery practices.
• •Build and maintain highly collaborative and mutually supportive relationships across AEM and the broader Thomson Reuters organization.

Required Qualifications

• •Demonstrated experience managing projects from initiation through implementation, including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, financial management, and stakeholder reporting.
• •Experience delivering projects across multiple teams, functions, geographies, or business priorities.
• •Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control.
• •Experience with projects such as go-to-market product launches, business transformation, business reengineering, technology initiatives, or comparable complex business projects.
• •Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with senior sponsors and cross-functional partners, including Product, Technology, Segment, Finance, and Marketing teams.
• •Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages, reporting, and engagement approaches for different audiences.
• •Demonstrated conflict-resolution and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to drive alignment and achieve constructive outcomes.
• •Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• •Strong commercial awareness and experience estimating project costs, timelines, and resource requirements.
• •Commitment to inclusive collaboration, customer and market focus, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• •5+ years of experience in supporting regional or global product launches and adapting global product value propositions for local market needs.
• •Experience working across the Asia & Emerging Markets region, including ANZ, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and/or Russia.
• •Experience supporting M&A integrations, acquisitions, or large-scale business transformation programs.
• •Experience working in information services, technology, professional services, legal, tax, regulatory, or enterprise software environments.
• •Familiarity with products or propositions such as CoCounsel, Westlaw, OneSource, Checkpoint, or similar digital and professional information solutions.
• •Experience applying agile, hybrid, or adaptive project management approaches.
• •Experience embedding AI-enabled tools, innovation practices, or process simplification into project delivery.
• •Formal project management certification or training, such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent.
