About the role

MSS Security is seeking a Project Security Officer who holds an active NV1 Clearance to lead security operations at a high-profile data centre in Melbourne.

Initially, you will be responsible for overseeing security operations within a construction environment, before transitioning into the established data centre once it is fully operational.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• •Ensure visitors and contractors remain within authorised areas and are escorted or monitored at all times.
• •Verify and confirm visitor identification prior to granting access to secure areas and maintain visitor logs.
• •Challenge and report any unauthorised persons, suspicious behaviour or security breaches in accordance with site procedures.
• •Monitor compliance with security policies and standards.
• •Coordinate security audits and maintain compliance registers and audit evidence.
• •Lead online meetings with the National Account Manager, the customer and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• •Must be an Australian Citizen and hold an active NV1 Clearance .
• •Valid Victorian Security Licence.
• •Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
• •White Card (or willing to obtain).
• •Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain).
• •Availability to work Monday to Saturday.
• •Ideally reside in the northern suburbs, with the flexibility to travel to the CBD and western suburbs as required.
• •Prior experience working in data centres, with a strong understanding of data centre security.
• •Security team leader experience will be highly regarded.
