Protection Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Protection Engineer based in the United States.

As a Protection Engineer, you’ll take ownership of protection and control engineering activities for high-voltage power transformers, substations, and related equipment. You’ll design and review protective relay schemes, perform system studies, and develop accurate relay settings. The role combines engineering analysis with hands-on support for field testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations. You’ll work closely with field technicians and project teams to ensure protection systems perform reliably and meet applicable standards. The position offers direct responsibility within a growing, field-focused engineering environment serving utility and industrial clients nationwide. This is a fully remote U.S.-based role, with approximately 30–40% travel to project and client sites.
