Purchasing Specialist

The Purchasing Associate supports daily procurement operations by placing purchase orders, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure delivery of time. This role partners closely with internal teams to support efficient purchasing processes and overall supply chain performance.

This position reports to the Associate Purchasing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Order & Vendor Management

• •Place purchase orders with suppliers in a timely and accurate manner
• •Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery timelines, and resolve issues
• •Participate in supplier calls and Microsoft Teams meetings

Administrative & Data Management

• •Update and maintain purchase orders in company systems
• •Process and verify invoices related to purchasing
• •Maintain accurate records of transactions and order status

Reporting & Analysis

• •Prepare and maintain purchasing reports in Excel (buy reports, tracking, etc.)
• •Assist with forecasting using PSI (Production, Sales, Inventory) data
• •Monitor open orders and flag potential delays or discrepancies

Team Collaboration

• •Work effectively with team members to support purchasing operations and shared goals
• •Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment and responsiveness
• •Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
