Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Delivery

Lead end-to-end delivery of Python/Django applications, ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability

Drive technical design discussions, architecture decisions, and implementation strategy for complex modules

Mentor developers through code reviews, pairing, and guidance on best practices and patterns

Own estimation, planning, and execution with a focus on predictable delivery and risk management

Engineering Excellence

Establish and enforce coding standards, testing practices, and CI/CD-aligned development workflows

Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement long-term fixes

Ensure secure development practices, including authentication/authorization and data protection controls

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

9–11 years of overall software development experience with strong expertise in Python

Strong hands-on experience building web applications/services using Django

Solid understanding of RESTful API design, backend architecture, and scalable application development

Experience with unit/integration testing, debugging, and code review practices

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree: BTECH, MTECH, MCA, MSC

Technical requirements

Primary skills:Technology->OpenSystem->Python - OpenSystem - Django

Good to have skills:

REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, Docker

Additional responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience leading teams or workstreams, including mentoring and driving engineering best practices

Strong experience designing and building scalable backend systems, including modular Django architectures

Experience with ORM optimization, query tuning, caching strategies, and performance profiling

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and release management practices for backend services

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical trade-offs clearly
