Python Senior Developer

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Backend Development (Python/Django):

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and Django.

Implement clean architecture patterns, reusable modules, and maintainable codebases aligned with best practices.

Optimize application performance, database queries, and API response times for production workloads.

Write unit/integration tests, ensure high code coverage, and participate in peer code reviews.

Generative AI Integration:

Integrate Generative AI capabilities into product features (e.g., content generation, summarization, assistants) with robust prompt design and safety considerations.

Build and maintain AI service layers that handle model orchestration, rate limits, observability, and fallback strategies.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable AI-enabled workflows.

Frontend Collaboration (React/Angular):

Partner with React/Angular engineers to define API contracts, data models, and integration patterns.

Support end-to-end feature delivery by troubleshooting cross-stack issues and ensuring smooth UI-to-API interactions.

Delivery & Quality:

Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and timely delivery of features within a 3–5 year experience scope.

Ensure security and reliability through input validation, authentication/authorization patterns, and secure coding practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

BTECH / BCA / MCA / MTECH or equivalent education.

3–5 years of hands-on experience in Python development with strong fundamentals in OOP and backend engineering.

Strong experience building web applications and APIs using Django.

Working knowledge of Generative AI concepts and experience integrating AI features into applications.

Practical exposure to modern frontend frameworks: React and/or Angular, with the ability to collaborate effectively on integration.

Additional responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience building high-performance APIs using FastAPI and/or Flask alongside Django.

Familiarity with prompt engineering, evaluation approaches, and building reliable AI-assisted user experiences.

Experience with asynchronous processing patterns and background task execution for AI or data-heavy workloads.

Strong understanding of API versioning, documentation practices, and integration testing for front-end consumption.

Proven ability to own features end-to-end, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior developers through reviews and guidance.
