Python Test engineer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Python.

Create and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and backend applications.

Develop reusable automation components and utilities.

Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.

Analyze business requirements and convert them into test scenarios and test cases.

Identify, log, track, and verify software defects.

Automate API testing and backend validations.

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

Generate test reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.

Collaborate with developers, DevOps teams, business analysts, and QA teams.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Additional responsibilities

Strong programming experience in Python.

Hands-on experience with Python automation frameworks such as:

PyTest

Unittest

Robot Framework

Behave (BDD)

Experience in Web Automation Testing using:

Selenium WebDriver

Playwright (Preferred)

Experience in API Automation Testing using:

Requests Library

PyTest

Postman

REST Assured concepts

Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.

Experience with test design techniques and automation best practices.

Strong understanding of:

Functional Testing

Regression Testing

Integration Testing

End-to-End Testing

Experience with Git-based version control systems.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
