Quality Assurance Engineer

Sutherland Global Services is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with 3+ years of experience in functional, integration, and performance testing of enterprise web applications. As a Tester, you'll deliver end-to-end test coverage during the platform setup phase and regression testing through ongoing support. You'll work alongside developers throughout the build to validate features before release, design and run the test plans that prove the platform meets functional and non-functional requirements, build load test harnesses that exercise the full pipeline at production volume, and capture the evidence artifacts that internal and client reviewers will request. Your profile will cover functional, integration, and light automation testing.

Responsibilities:

• •Design and execute functional, integration, and regression test plans across the platform's backend, frontend, and pipeline components.
• •Build a load test harness using k6, JMeter, or Locust that exercises the full upload-to-download pipeline at and beyond expected production volume.
• •Validate chunked and resumable behaviors of long-running pipelines under simulated crash and restart conditions.
• •Stress-test multi-user concurrency including locking, expiry, and force-release flows.
• •Author test plans and traceability matrices that map requirements to specific test cases and evidence artifacts.
• •Triage defects, write clear defect reports, and verify fixes through to closure.
• •Coordinate external penetration testing, triage findings, and track remediation.
• •Build the performance regression gate in continuous integration so latency and throughput regressions are caught before merge.
• •Work alongside developers throughout the build phase to validate features before release.
• •Stay updated with the latest advancements in QA tooling and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's testing practices.

Qualifications:

• •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. ISTQB certification is a strong plus.
• •3+ years of experience in functional, integration, and performance quality assurance for enterprise web applications.
• •Hands-on experience with load testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Locust.
• •Working proficiency in API testing using Postman, REST Client, or similar tooling.
• •Proficiency in SQL for state verification and test data setup.
• •Experience writing test plans, traceability matrices, and defect reports for enterprise software.
• •Comfort with browser developer tools, network inspection, and basic JavaScript debugging.
• •Strong written and verbal communication skills for defect reports, test summaries, and cross-team collaboration.
• •Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress, security testing tools such as Burp Suite, or audit evidence preparation for regulated platforms would be advantageous.
