Quality Engineer

Description

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the continuous improvement of Hennig Incorporated's Quality Management System. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining strategic initiatives, as well as analyzing internal and external customer feedback to identify and implement process and product conformance enhancements. They will collaborate with manufacturing, sales, purchasing, and engineering teams to achieve these goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• •Maintain ISO 9001 certification and ensure ongoing compliance. • Lead process performance monitoring, manage non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement through corrective and preventive actions. • Plan, execute, and manage comprehensive internal and external quality management system audits. • Develop and deliver performance reports, providing actionable recommendations for quality system optimization. • Track and evaluate corrective actions, both internal and external, and initiate further actions when necessary. • Collaborate on the management of customer service requests, warranty claims, and returned material authorizations, ensuring timely resolution. • Prepare and present quality data for quarterly management review meetings, facilitating informed decision-making. • Conduct detailed inspections, including first article inspections, PPAP, and receiving inspections, to verify product conformity.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent work experience

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards.

Reading Ability: Proficient in reading and understanding English.

Skills:

Comprehensive knowledge of inspection and control methodologies, techniques, and documentation.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and database management.

Demonstrated understanding and application of lean manufacturing principles.

Ability to quickly learn and apply production sequences and quality standards.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Proficiency in company software, including Trello, AutoCAD, eDrawings, and Global Shop, with a demonstrated ability to learn product-specific applications.

Experience with ERP and CRM systems is highly desirable.
