WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Development of plans for introductions of new products in coordination with Layout/Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations.
  • Crafting and applying quality standards according to customer requirements and specifications, validating its suitability and alignment with the company quality standards. Recommends revision of specifications, if applicable.
  • Designs or specifies inspection and testing processes and equipment.
  • Advanced planning and execution of PPAP/FAI documentation based on customer requirements and schedule.
  • Supervising and analyzing quality performance metrics for customers and the assigned plant.
  • Development and implementation of corrective actions, solutions, and improvements of quality process and performance.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies such as ASQ.
  • May conduct training on quality topics, concepts, and tools.
  • Continuous attendance to customer scheduled conference calls, meetings and audits.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field or similar.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing environments, specializing in sheet metal process preferred.
  • Bilingual, strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish is required.
  • Quality Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA), MSA, SPC.
  • Methodologies: Six Sigma (DMAIC), Lean Manufacturing, 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa (Fishbone).
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt desirable.
  • A tourist VISA is preferred.
