About the opportunity

Every product we make helps protect people working around hazardous machinery, so quality really matters here. As our Quality Technician, you'll be the person who makes sure our components, assemblies and finished products meet the standard, every time.

The role has a strong focus on metrology, dimensional validation and measurement system control. It's a great place to build real technical expertise and see how your work directly supports production.

What you'll be doing

• •Carrying out first-off, in-process and final dimensional inspections against drawings, specifications and customer requirements, and writing inspection reports
• •Checking critical dimensions, tolerances, GD&T and assembly characteristics
• •Reading engineering drawings, CAD models and technical specifications
• •Using and maintaining inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height, bore and thread gauges, optical and surface finish equipment, and CMM
• •Keeping all inspection equipment calibrated, and quarantining anything that's out of calibration
• •Supporting GR&R studies, measurement system analysis (MSA), capability studies and dimensional analysis
• •Working with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, suppliers and customers to investigate quality issues and root causes
• •Contributing to new product development, quality improvement and cost-saving projects
• •Covering other areas of the Quality team during absence and planned leave

What you'll bring

You might currently work as a Quality Inspector, Inspection Technician, Metrology Technician or QC Inspector, or you might be ready to take your first step into quality.

Must-have

• •Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment. We'll teach you the rest!
• •A meticulous approach and a continuous improvement mindset
• •Good communication, leadership and critical thinking skills
• •Confidence reading engineering drawings, or a real willingness to learn

Nice-to-have

• •Experience operating CMMs
• •Knowledge of GD&T
• •An understanding of statistical process control (SPC)
• •Experience with MSA and GR&R studies
• •Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
• •Familiarity with calibration systems and measurement traceability
