Quarry Operator

Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Wollert Quarry in VIC, 45 minutes north of Melbourne CBD.

This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

In your new role with us, you will:

Carry out day-to-day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment

Operate a heavy vehicle (Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump Truck). If no ticket, Heidelberg Materials Australia will provide training and certification for the right candidate

Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shovelling

This role is a great fit for you if you have:

Solid interpersonal and communication skills

Total commitment to risk management and OH&S

A positive work ethic and ability to work within Heidelberg Materials values and philosophies

Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump Truck ticket is advantageous

Experience in either Quarrying, Mining or a similar heavy industry environment

The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
