Job Summary

A diagnostic imaging technologist performs all required exams in diagnostic radiology. Insures high quality patient care and adequate radiation protection at all times. When needed, he/she is required to provide coverage for both Newburgh and/or Cornwall campuses of SLCH.

Qualifications

• •Satisfactory completion of AMA approved school for Diagnostic Radiology Technology. Required
• •1-3 years as a Radiologic Technologist Preferred
• •Technologist must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• •Must possess high degree of knowledge and understanding in services and technology.
• •ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
• •Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Department of Health's Bureau of Environmental Radiation Protection Required
• •Temporary Permit to practice Diagnostic Radiography is acceptable for new graduates. This permit is only accepted up to 180 days after graduation. Required
