About the role

Located at our Niagara Falls, NY facility, the Reach Stacker Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment used to load, unload, move, and position intermodal containers from rail cars. This role plays an important part in maintaining safe and efficient rail operations while ensuring equipment and work areas are properly maintained.

The Reach Stacker Operator works under the direction of the RTIF Superintendent and is responsible for operating equipment safely, completing required documentation and inspections, and supporting the overall cleanliness and safe condition of the facility.

Primary Responsibilities

• •Safely operate reach stackers and other equipment used to load, unload, and move intermodal containers.
• •Load and unload containers from rail cars in accordance with established operating and safety procedures.
• •Complete daily equipment inspections and promptly report any safety concerns, defects, or maintenance needs.
• •Maintain accurate equipment, container, and operational records.
• •Perform minor equipment maintenance and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
• •Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• •Follow all company safety, environmental, operating, and regulatory requirements.
• •Work collaboratively with other employees and departments to support safe and efficient rail operations.

Requirements – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• •Previous experience operating heavy equipment, particularly a reach stacker, forklift, or similar equipment, preferred.
• •CDL license is preferred.
• •Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• •Ability to wear a full-face respirator when required.
• •Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance.
• •Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete electronic or written documentation.
• •Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and alternating shifts.
• •Strong commitment to safety and following established procedures.
• •Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 22.79 - 30.34 USD per hour
