Job Description:

In this role, you will work in collaboration with team members to complete repairs and preventative maintenance on various refrigeration and HVAC equipment while following proper safety protocol.

What will I do?

• •Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment
• •Identify and diagnose issues with refrigeration and HVAC controls systems; repair self-contained cases and repair rooftop HVAC units of all types; demonstrate knowledge of secondary glycol racked systems as well as conventional DX racked systems
• •Work effectively with a team, assisting other personnel as necessary to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
• •Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers; determine best practices for repair work and assess downtime with store personnel
• •Create and maintain preventative maintenance records on all equipment serviced; maintain truck inventory
• •Deliver incredible service to both internal and external customers, and maintain Wegmans high standards of quality and food & human safety procedures

Qualifications:

• •5 or more years related work experience
• •Technical training through apprenticeship, RSES, trade school, or equivalent work experience
• •EPA Universal Certification
• •Proficient with the use of a laptop computer, possessing the ability to maintain, troubleshoot and operate building management systems, on board control systems, and manufacturer’s PLC based control systems
• •Sound mechanical ability, as well as knowledge of welding and plumbing
• •Supermarket/restaurant related equipment experience, including knowledge of applicable codes, regulations and operating standards is preferred
• •Independent ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical systems is preferred
