Regional Supplier Quality Manager - Aeroderivative Gas Turbines (Americas)

Job Description Summary

• Regional Supplier Quality Manager – Aeroderivative Gas Turbines will be leading the AMERICAS region team of SQEs responsible for developing the quality of suppliers of Aero GT equipment to Gas Power project sites globally. The scope includes Package, MSD, BOP and Main Engine (Industrialization). The role will work in full alignment and close collaboration with internal stakeholder functions including but not limited to sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, and project management to assure project execution excellence.
• The scope of activities includes supplier product qualification, audit, surveillance, and quality issues’ resolution and root cause investigation. The objective is to ensure delivery to customer project sites on time, on budget, meeting customer quality expectations and Gas Power Supplier Quality KPI targets.
• This role will report to the Global MSD-BoP-Aero-Generator SQ Leader, supporting him/her in developing and implementing a global strategic plan for development of robust and reliable supply chain in Aero domain in AMERICAS and execute this strategy in partnership with internal and external customers.

Job Description

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

· Manage team of Supplier Quality Engineers to drive quality, delivery, and compliance excellence within the global Aero supply base for Gas Power.

· Drive systematic improvements to meet CoPQ targets, on-time delivery, first-time-right product quality, Cost Out/Savings, customer event and escape reduction, and other SQ KPIs.

· Mentor, coach and motivate the team, developing a strong leadership pipeline based on integrity and compliance.

· Drive strong EHS, Compliance, Quality and Lean culture throughout the supply base and within the team.

· Build an inclusive culture by focusing on safety and quality and aligning with the GE Leadership Behaviors, ensuring effective cross-functional communication and engagement with team members to ensure understanding and alignment with operational goals.

· Align with Supply Chain Quality and Strategic Sourcing Leaders in the Aero scope in identifying and leading global supplier quality development programs to continuously improve supplier performance.

· Develop and execute global Sourcing and Quality strategies in the Aero scope, managing complex relationships between numerous stakeholders in numerous countries.

· Develop and execute Supplier qualifications, and development of surveillance audits.

· Drive compliance to the management system procedures for supplier approval and product qualification.

· Work in close collaboration with Regional MSD&BoP SQ Managers, and other Aero SQ Technical Leaders and Regional SQMs to align and harmonize the processes and tools withing the whole scope of Aero GT.

· Supervise detailed Root Cause Analysis when issues arise, assure effective problem solving and drive preventative actions that ensure issues do not recur.

· Assure correct preparation of PSR and SR cases to allow for effective vendor recovery activities.

· Manage budgets effectively for people and projects, optimizing resources, and minimizing costs.

· Support Global MSD-BoP-Aero-Generators SQ Leader to develop team’s technical capability in the Aero domain: manage team expertise pool, identify gaps, define training programs.

· Establish and lead the network of SQEs in the global MSD-BoP-Aero-Generator SQ team in charge of suppliers of Aero GT products; partner with corresponding specialists in Engineering.

· Communicate within Aero technical domain internally and externally (to customers, suppliers, local authorities, normative entities) as required to support the business objectives.

· Define formal and standard product qualification requirements for Aeroderivative products.

· Manage Aero Industrialization efforts/strategy (specific to Supplier Quality scope)

· Lead and/or technically support RCAs related to Aeroderivative scope of products in the assigned technical area of responsibility.

· Identify and eliminate non-value-adding processes.

· Identify and disseminate lessons-learned and leverage the development of a supplier read across program within Aeroderivative supply base.

· Actively participate in Strategic Sourcing commodity reviews. Ensure Quality risks, qualification needs, budget constraints & expertise gaps are known and addressed for new product qualifications and/or new suppliers’ introduction, with respect to their manufacturing capabilities.

· Align with Engineering and Value Stream Quality leaders in identifying and leading generic supplier development programs to continuously improve manufacturing process performance and improve supplier base.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $125,000.00 and $208,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
