Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS; RVT/RDCS preferred) (Weekend Call Only)

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS/RVT/RDCS) to join our Newberry Health team in our on-call only position. On-call hours are Weekends only Friday 7:00 pm through Monday 7:00 am . This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced sonographers to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical environment, providing essential diagnostic imaging services with flexibility and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties, including obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal, vascular, and other areas as required.

- Accurately operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation by physicians.

- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, providing clear instructions and support.

- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of procedures and findings.

- Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines.

- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.

- Participate in on-call duties, responding promptly to imaging requests as scheduled.

Requirements

- Proven experience in performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations.

- Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a call-only, PRN capacity.

- Flexibility to respond to call requests promptly and adapt to varying schedules.

- Current CPR certification and compliance with all healthcare regulations.

-Applicant must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMA). Vascular experience (RVT)/CCI (RVS) strongly preferred.
